Cured-In-Place Pipe Restoration
As a sewer line ages, it can develop significant flaws, leaks and cracks, making it structurally unsound. As an alternative to full replacement, there is a trenchless solution called cured-in-place pipe that can address the problem.
A pre-measured length of flexible tube is imbued with a liquid resin. One end of the tube is sealed closed and it is loaded into an inversion chamber. Then the open end of the tube is cinched around the outside section of the damaged pipe. Pressure from the inversion chamber pushes the tube into the pipe, turning it inside out and pressing it against the pipe’s walls. The tube conforms to the shape and bends of the old pipe. After the resin has cured, the tube forms a new lining for the pipe that is completely impermeable, structurally sound, seamless and durable.
Clogs within drains and sewer lines are most often caused by the accumulation of grease and grime along the pipe’s walls. When organic debris like hair and foreign objects get stuck against the built up grime, a clog begins to form and can eventually halt the flow through the sewer line. Another common cause of sewer blockages is the invasive growth of roots from nearby trees into the line, as these naturally seek out moisture.
The best solution for getting rid of clogs and invasive roots is hydrojetting. This method of drain cleaning pushes water under great pressure into the sewer line, blasting through virtually any clog and clearing away tree roots. As the water courses through the line, it scrapes away most of the built-up residue stuck to the inside of the pipe.
